Don’t wear poison—OR PLASTIc

What you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it.
Would you wear plastic?
If someone told you to wear plastic all day that sends chemical substances into your body, most likely you’d say NO.
If you knew these substances are hormone disrupting, endocrine damaging, possibly cancer causing, it would (hopefully) be an adamant NO.
Yet, these things can be hiding in what you wear.

WHAT ARE YOU WEARING
Most casual and athletic wear, for example, is made from synthetic materials polyester, spandex, nylon. These are petroleum based fibers—.the same material plastic comes from.
Furthermore, they often treated with synthetic dyes and forever chemicals.
We spend hours wearing these fabrics - whether at the gym, yoga, as trendy daily casual wear, pajamas, undergarments, etc.
Pesticides, microplastics, BPA, and PFAS (forever chemicals) have no place on your skin.
Ditch the plastic.

THE PROBLEM
You open yourself up to absorbing these chemicals can eventually harm you.
Repeated exposure begins to fill your body with toxic substances that accumulates in the blood, liver, andlymphatic system.
With autoimmune issues, mystery symptoms, and sensitivities on the rise more than ever before, it’s time to look at how we’re living. The cumulative effects of the chemicals should be in question.
THE SOLUTION
Choose clothes, activewear, pajamas, undergarments that are less toxic and free or harsh chemicals.
Ditch the plastic.
✔️Begin to switch one item at a time.
✔️Choose companies that are transparent, sustainable, and that support better living.
Here are a few:

BEWARE OF GREENWASHING
“Organic” doesn’t mean less plastic.
“Eco” could mean recycled polyester - (still plastic)
“Cotton Blend” could mean still mostly plastic and treated with harsh chemicals.
BEWARE OF FAST FASHION
SHEIN, for example. Independent lab testing found chemical levels above legal limits in the EU, including items marketed to children and pregnant women.
Chemicals found include:
Phthalates, PFAS, Lead, Cadmium, and Formaldehyde. Chemical levels reached up to 3,269x the EU legal limit.
In children's clothing specifically: PFAS (forever chemicals), phthalates, formaldehyde (at 3.5x the legal limit), and heavy metals.
SHEIN is being sued for what’s been found in their children’s clothes.
Make the change, one brand, one item of clothing at a time.
